A California Winter at Dust

by Joeli Schwartz

Hoping to capture the beauty of her backyard, film maker Joeli Schwartz whipped out a 'janky' tripod and an old DSLR and began shooting A California Winter at Dusk.

"I didn't want to show the backyard in its entirely because you wouldn't be able to enjoy the little things that you don't normally look at. Sometimes the little things you walk past every day could be the most beautiful and if you don't stop and really look you'll probably miss it," Schwartz said.

Having shot and edited the entire film in under an hour, Schwartz was able to rediscover the beauty in her own home through film making.
